I got a call at 7:45 a.m. this morning and Gary had a ride back to the trail.  I don't know if I mentioned that the other day he hitch hiked to the hotel.  I can't imagine Gary doing that and I can't imagine someone picking up someone who looks like Gary does now.  I guess with the pack on his back they recognized him as a hiker.  He is heading up a steep mountain today and I sure hope the weather is cooperative.
