Gary just called and seemed in a good state of mind...positive about his walk.  Said that yesterday was grueling the steep climb and going over the boulders.  Today isn't as steep but up and down for about two miles then the descent is about 4 miles down about a 45 degree slope.  He has this really steep climbing for about thirty more miles then is evens out for about 30 miles.  He said he has to take his back pack off to get through some areas and takes some dangerous leaps to go through.  That is something I need to hear when he comes home after it is all over.  Heading out now to buy another camera.  I think I am going to look for a water proof one.
